Anybody try Cobalt XR2 brake pads?

Well, it looks like I'm going to be due to change my Cobalt Spec VR pads and they just released their new models. Anybody have experience with the new XR2 pads? Any recommendation to alternatives would be welcome as well.

Keith

Drew had some last time I saw him. He was very impressed.

I have a set of brand new Hawk DTC60s that I'd be interested in selling for a good price. I can't use them with the new calipers, so I'd like to see them go to a good home.

I also have a set of used Cobalt Spec VRs that I'll toss in for free!

Anyway, I've heard good things about the new Cobalt compounds, but I'm still a Hawk fan. Anyway, if you're interested, let me know.

How does the DTC60s compare to the Spec VRs? If they are comparable, then shoot me a PM. I'm up for trying something different.

They should be as good, if not better than the Spec VRs. The DTC60s are one notch below Hawk's top of the line compound, the DTC70.

As Billy said, I have a set for the front of the S2k for track pads(I ran the new GTS compound in the rear), and they were exceptional. Significantly better than the Hawk Blues IMO, at least for the S2k. I never got to run VR's on the S2k so I cant really compare there, but the guys that use Cobalt on S2ki all seem to like them better. There was an H1 S2k at the same track event Billy is referring to on the same pads and he loved them as well. I have heard nothing but good about them

Did Cobalt go to being just a supplier now? I went to their website the other day, and they don't have the online store anymore.

Are the Prelude front calipers and the Integra calipers the same?

What is the part number on the pads, and I'll double check.
