Affordable aftermarket FD

I don't know anything about quality, but the price is right! I have no affiliation with that company.

I would certainly wait until they're proven. A broken FD will surely frag a transmission. I wonder how many people will buy them because they're cheap, not realizing it's going to cost more than the FD to install it!

Do it, Corey. Then tell us if it's good or not. That price is very tempting.

4.64. What a strange ratio. Never seen that offered for the H series before.. Guess it's only slightly longer than the typical 4.74 most people choose.

I'll have to play around to figure out the tooth #'s. These are just by calculations, not by actual counting. I should have counted mine when they weren't in the tranny.

Stock: 4.266, 64 teeth on the gear ring, 15 teeth on the countershaft
Houseman: 4.850, 97 teeth on the gear ring, 20 teeth on the countershaft
Pro Drive: 4.714, 66 teeth on the gear ring, 14 teeth on the countershaft
New: 4.64, could be a few different combinations, 65/14, 102/22, or 116/25. 116/25 is dead on, but I'd really worry about tooth strength with that many more teeth than stock.

Again, these are just by calcs, not by actually counting, so take it for what it's worth.

Haven't the SSR had limited reliability issues? I think I've heard of only one or two problems. If that's true, it's surely not a bad deal then.

Hmm... I'm going to have the tranny out for an LSD install, I'm tempted to try this new FD.
