working with CF

I'm wondering where I can get started with some ideas I have. Sorry of I'm a bit too vague, but I don't want to throw out the exact details of what I'm doing, even if it's not very exciting

Lets say you have a toroid (donut). How would you go about coating it with carbon fiber? It doesn't have to be real carbon fiber, as it will not need to sustain any hits, or be strong/light etc. How can I go about coating this toroid with "CF", and make it look very clean?
