windshield showing age

my windshield seems to have a "haze" over it when the sun light hits it directly or what street lights are right over it. This causes a dangerous situation when i am driving sometimes. Is there a product that will make it clear like new glass again?

What do you wash and dry your windows with? After you dry your car, paper towels can leave streaks and hazes behind on the windows. I like to use Stoner's Invisible Glass and black/white newspaper to really make the glass invisible. When I first heard about newspaper, I couldn't believe it myself but you'd really have to try it out to believe it. Supposedly the ink acts like a "polish" and leaves a clear residue that also helps the beading of water while driving like Rain-X.

Yea using the absorber and paper towels will leave streaks. A glass cleaner like Windex is fine, but use newspaper. Some people swear by microfiber towels or other special products, but a newspaper is my choice because it's the cheapest alternative and works well for me.

OMG the newpaper and windex worked awesome.....i barely needed to wipe and there was no streaks, i cant even believe how well the newspaper works

EDIT::
i just realized how funny the "i barely needed to wipe and there was no streaks" could sound out of context

The outside of my windshield is rarely a problem, washing the car leaves it looking good. It's the inside that's a pain in the ass. I do like newspaper, but I still get streaks, haven't found a glass cleaner I like yet. Think I'll try an alcohol/water mix or something next time.

Windshields are subject to many different elements and chemicals in the air. Sadly, there isn't any chemical or any cleaner that is available in the open market that can clean all those different elements at once. While one product is good at wiping away industrial fallout, it wouldn't be as good at wiping away pollen like another product for example. Sometimes it's better to use different products to really get the perfect window.

Again, a lot of this matters with where you live, what products you use and etc. I've always been lucky enough to never get any streaking, hazing and clear windows with just Stoner's Invisible Glass and several black and white newspapers. Are you using color newspaper or black and white because if you're using colored ones, then they won't clean as well. If you're going to use rubbing alcohol, I recommend following up with something else because I find that rubbing alcohol leaves streaks and hazes behind but cleans the surface really well.
