Stuff on Volks that wont wash off!!!

So I didn't wash my car for about a month because of all the rain.

Last week I decided to finally wash the lude.

I noticed there was some stains of the lip of my rims.

this **** won't wash off!

and suggestions?

:-/

I've tried all of these and it doesn't effect it at all

If it doesn't wash/polish off, could a rim shop fix this for me?

If so, how much do you think they would charge for the job?

Thanks guys

Daniel

P21S is a wax - it'll remove stuff as you wipe it off, but you're better off with a degreaser. I'm really surprised that the stuff you used didn't take that stuff off. Try Eagle One's A2Z (all purpose cleaner), Goo Gone, or rubbing alcohol.

Try Wheel Wax. It cleans suprisingly well and leaves a great coat of wax behind that will protect the wheel and bring out the shine. I've had great results with baked on brake dust on my GT-Ns.

Dont spray degreaser on your polished wheels bro. It will cause it to look worse than that. In fact it looks like you sprayed your wheels with a degreaser thats is why they look like that. It didnt help that all the other stuff you tried may have damaged the wheels also .

Ive had good luck with the mothers polish - you have to keep on to get that stuff out. I used mothers on my Spoon bar which got splashed with degreaser while i was cleaning the bay. Took me about an hour just to get it all out but it worked. Use a buffer if you can borrow one or rent one.

Try Flitz too - I hear they are awesome

There's a window as to how long a degreaser should sit on any surface, and as long as you clean in the allotted time you'll be fine as long as you wash it off. As long as you don't let it sit for a couple of minutes, if even that much, then you'll be fine.

Did you by any chance use a spray tire shine? Because silicone based tire shine will imbed itsel f onto any surface other than tires.

Degreaser on metal like that SUCKS.

I RUINED MY BRAND NEW polished intake.. with spraying degreaser on it, just to remove some simple finger grease and motor oil after i pulled my head. Boy was that crappy. All I can suggest is that you mask off the spokes of the wheel, and Buff it back to a high polish with a light compound. Dont do it if you dont know how to use compounds, you may complicate the situation and loose a lot of your shine.
