What did you expect it to do? Did the tree sap come off?

Xenit is a product made by Stoner, and it's a cleaner remover.

Taken from www.cleanitwithxenit.com:
"Clean it with XENIT (zee-nit) to remove adhesives, gum, decals, labels, crayon, grease, marker, ink, shoe scuffs, tar, sap, and other sticky gunk. XENIT is the fastest and easiest way to clean difficult grime from carpet, glass, metals, fabrics, countertops, flooring, upholstery, vinyl, walls, and more. XENIT removes the stuff that soap and water can't. XENIT even lifts dried latex paint, lipstick, and permanent marker."

Anyway about the claybarring...

Modulate the amount of pressure applied onto the surface. If it isn't picking up the tree sap well enough, then increase the pressure. Also use less lubrication so that the clay can pick up stuff better. Did you go over the area multiple times? Sometimes it takes more than just once to pick up stuff with the clay bar because it's so embedded onto the surface of the car.

Hmm....did you try using less lubrication and firmer pressure?

The harder the challenge...the sweeter the rewards .

Are you sure that's tree sap? . Rub a little of the Goo Gone on a small inconspicuous area and see if that discolors the paint.

You didn't answer my question, can you feel it with your finger nail? Is there anything you can 'feel' or is it just spots?

It's Stoner Carpet Cleaner, not Xenit. Xenit is its own product also made by Stoner. I swear by the stuff. I also really like their windshield cleaner as well.

yea same deal with my car.. the claybar wouldnt get that tree "goop" off.. I had to use a mild polishing compound and then followed up with Meguairs Swirl Remover 2.0, which I was impressed with..

Confused about what? As GaRn said, try using a polish to see if that'll help budge the spots.
