ok so i tried to use a headlight restore kit on one of my window visors and it involves sanding the visor....Well it didnt turn out the way it shouldve and there are a bunch of sanding scratches on the visor....Can I re-sand it with a finer grit and try to polish ? Is there something else i cad do to fix it? Or am i screwed? thanks for any input

Try using 2000 grit wetsanding sandpaper. Then use a plastic rubbing compound (ie. Meguiars Plastix) to get the fine scratches out,

I've heard of using that scratch-x stuff Billy Mays used to promote.

Try Meguiar's PlastX, a microfiber towel and some elbow grease should show some improvement on your window vent visor. Or 3M's plastic Polish.

Power buffer. Worked great on mine for some fine scratches.

I have been curious about this too but I was told that the plastic used for the visors is too soft to even consider wet sanding. Has anyone had any real experience on bringing them back to life? Mine are just hazy from age and I want them to be transparent again.
