Rust overspray on car paint.....

Hey so my new car must have got overspray on it at the bodyshop. My guess is that it was little metal dust from a grinder. The car prolly sat indoors the whole time until I bought it. since then it has been sitting outside in the rain and sun. I noticed that the car had what looked like yellow pollen on it and didnt worry about it until today when I washed the car and it wouldn't come off. The paint feels like there is sand all over it and if you look closely at the yellow dust it actually looks like rust. I got it off of the glass but if "stained" the glass light blue where the rust spots where. I am scared to clean the paint because if you try to use detailing spray and some elbow grease it scratches the paint to hell. So am I totally ****ed or will a clay bar with a following polish help to get it off? Anyone had any experience with this distaster?

Thanks,
Phil

strip all of the wax with a good dish soap, clay, polish/paint cleaner (whatever you use)
you'll be fine claying the crap out of it. just keep it lubed and if it gets dirty, throw it away. don't use the now crappy clay on another section of the car.

Clay bar fixed most of it. Thanks!
