One Slow Lude

Is it possible to sand the header down and recoat it with a high temp black paint and then over that re coat it with a high temp chorome spray???

I am trying to sell my DC header and i feel bad selling it with it looking like it does, it has no mechanical defects, just looks real used. It is all messed up and the coating is like flaking off

You could, but I remember reading somewhere on here that over time the paint will start to peel, flake, discolor, etc. They were using the highest rated paint as well.
