Paintless dent removal in SoCal

While I'm on the car-restoration tip, anyone have experience with PDR shops in SoCal? I've got a list of them I found on the internet which I'll post when I get home, but I'd prefer to go someplace that people have had personal experience with.

Matt told me about a dent place that he held a SoCal Prelude meet at, so it's definitely high on my list, but I'd also like a place that sends a van out to your house to do the work. Of course, they gotta be pros too, cause I don't want it coming out worse after their done.

Any recommendations? Thanks!

The detailers seem more DIY, but OK.

Hot damn Beach Cities PDR quoted me $150 to take out the two dents on my trunk, and $75 more if they can handle the large one on the driver side rear panel. Is it really worth that much?

^^ do you want to replace the piece, repaint and take a chance the colors won't match? might cost you more to get OEM parts, paint and labor.. those prices are spot on for good guys on the other coast

IIRC, there was a PDR meet here on PO and a guy was charging $50 per dent. Since there's no one else going with you, I'd say it's worth it.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I had the Beach Cities PDR come to my house to take out a couple dents and the work was excellent.

it was $50 per PANEL... and it was a steal. I had a huge dent removed.

a problem with some PDR work is that they'll drill holes into your car leaving them exposed to moister which will then cause rust or corrosion after awhile. Not all dents require drilling holes, so if they can avoid that and still get the dents out, you've gotten a great deal
