Walked into Pep Boys, the only place I know of around here that has any kind of car-care products worth buying. After having read a bunch of posts on car care here on PO.com, I thought I was ready.
4 hours and $50 later, I've come up with this:
It's kind of a crap camera, and it was starting to get dark when I took these pics, so it's not that noticeable. But the car looks almost brand-new. You'd never know it was a 10-year-old car, except for the paint cracking on the mirrors.
The car hadn't ever seen a claybar or a decent polish or wax. I went with a Mother's Clay Bar (only one I could find), 3M Swirl Remover, Meguiar's Polish (step 2), and Meguiar's Gold Class wax. The car looks f-in' awesome now and I hope this look lasts.
Just thought I'd share.
