Liquid Glass vs Meguiar's Show Car Glaze

Wondering which one is better for my Nighthawk Black Pearl. Meguiar's Show Car Glaze seems to be marketed towards darker colors, whereas Liquid Glass isn't really biased one way or the other. Anyone out there have personal experience they'd like to share? Thanks in advance.

Hey, I use liquid glass for I think like 2 years now. IT is the best polish so far. A cool thing about it is that you don't need to wax it after you're done polishing cause it's made to be baked in the sun after you polish it to make it "liquid glass". That's what it says on the instructions. The finished product is really nice, it's worth a try in my opinion.

Sure, not my car, but this is his car after we detailed it with Mother's Clay Bar and then Liquid Glass. That's it.

Damn. It looks like clear coat. What do you use to apply it, just a cloth? Did you use a buffer?

All i used was an applicator pad...buffed with a microfiber cloth. Not bad right? If you have never used clay bar before....you MUST. It yields awesome results no matter how old the car...seriously give it a try.

I clayed my blk lude with Mother's...a definite improvement. Ended up waxing right after...this was a few weeks ago...so I'm thinking I need to "strip" the wax before I put on the Liquid Glass.....

liquid glass is a polish an not a wax, therefore it NEEDS wax on top to properly protect the clear. polish is NOT a protectant. and after you guys use your clay the next time, use some 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner...it will strip the wax and road tar and all of that nasty **** to give you a nice clean paint surface to polish. just my .02

http://www.liquidglass.com/FAQ.htm

They recommend that you just use this polish, let it bake in the sun after you're done polishing, and you're set.

I"m just following directions..but I konw the general rule is to use wax after polish to protect it.

clay bars help to remove micro-contaminants from the clearcoat after washing. small stuff that washing wont remove, like bits of road tar and some old wax. its just taking clearcoat maintenace a step further than just washing

true i will agree to that, ive not been a liguid glass fan sence they changed there mix about 7 yrs ageo, it use to be really good stuff. 3m products are allways good, that all we use in the bodyshop and actually most bodyshops i ever worked at. Mequiars has a new wax out i forgot the name but its expensive and comes in a purple bottle, ive used that its really good stuff, luquid glass can cause bad streaks on darker colors if not applyed correctly.

As far as Meguairs being for dark colors...when it comes to car cleaners anything that is not white or silver or light gray is a dark color. I use Meguair's cleaner/polish/and wax and I get that same deep wet paint look. Just with the wax it last longer.

I've had great expereince with Zaino Brothers. Very easy to use, no flakes, no dust when applied. Been using it for 3 years now and havent switched to anything else. Makes my EBP Lude look amazing.

Liquid Glass is a polish. You can use it under and over waxes to shine up the car. But it's not a wax.

I use it, and love it (have since I was 16) It's about $20 for the can of it. Lasts a fairly long time.

Glaze isn't the same as a polish. Pure polishes have no abbrasives in them. Glazes do. I use glaze, polish and then S100 (wax) topped by Meguiars Yellow #26. I'll polish the car with the liquid glass between waxes just to shine it up.

Zaino I wasn't impressed with for the money. The $15 jar of S100 runs circles around it IMO.
