It depends on how well you upkeep your car. The more frequently you wash, the less amount of time you'd need to clay your car. If you use dirty rags, mitts, and towels on your paint which will cause marring, then you'd have to polish the car more frequently unless you don't care. I'm a believer in you could never wax a car too many times, but with polishes you have to be careful especially with what product, technique, and materials you use.
Now to answer your question, I'd go with in a year
1)Wash car - as frequently as possible
2)Clay bar - 2-4 times a year
3)Polish - do it everytime you clay the car
5)Wax - apply it everytime you wash the car
