How to get rid of swirls??

I have a 8 month old paint job on my 95 lude and it is black with red crystals, and in the sun I can see a pretty good amount of swirl marks in it. I just got done doing a three step maguires clean, polish, wax to my car and I still see a little bit less swirls. So what I want to know is, what is the best way to get rid of swirls without having to repaint the whole thing?

Polish is what removes swirls, but what keeps your car swirl-free over time is your technique. Daily drivers are nearly impossible to keep in perfect condition, so I find sanity in lowering my expectations and products that have fillers in them.

I had swirls in the paint on my hood really bad. When you you looked at it in the sun the hood would look wavy due to all the swirls. The way I got it out was to use meguiars deep crystal system paint cleaner. Then I stepped up to their Professional Line (Mirror Glaze) and used their Swirl Removed 2.0. Worked like a charm.

This is what I just got finished doing.

#1.) Wash with Dawn dish soap. <-- (For those that don't know this will strip off everything that is sitting on top of your clearcoat)

#2.) Clayed with Zaino Z-18 ClayBar

#3.) Buffed the whole car with Meguiar's M-8312 Dual Action Cleaner/Polish

#4.) Came back over that with Meguiar's M-8012 Speed Glaze

#5.) Topped all that off with Meguiar's M-0716 Show Car Glaze

#6.) Locked it all in with Trade Secret Carnauba Wax

Time taken = 10 hours

When I woke up today my car was a disgusting, swirl-ridden/watermark having beast... she is NBP by the way.

It would have turned out perfect if it wasnt for the rock chips on my front end... other than that... paint is swirlfree and deeeeeeeeeeeeep black.

Pictures coming soon!
