this is a lil ot but i remembered it whenever i saw the rain-x..........haven't tried antifog but i wouldn't suggest using rain-x........it works great........but don't put it in your washer fluid or get the rain-x washer fluid.........the reason is because it can stain your hood.......the excess that splashes out of the nozzle sometimes leaks on car and stays there........a friend has a permanatly stained hood of where rain-x dropped on it........so my advice is not to use it unless you get the wipes and coat your windshield

I use the rain-x windshield fluid, and it works great. the anti-fogging stuff works well too... it's actually just regular rain-x relabeled... I like it!

The problem I see with waxing your windsheild is that the rubber will scrape against the wax and eventually accumulate the wax which would lead to the deterioation of the rubber and/or lower the effectiveness of each wipe.

i guess it just depends on what kind of wax u use, i donot use any thick based wax, and have had the same windshild wipers sence 97. I used that rain x once and i just did not like it, i did it as the directions stated. i also put the wax on there to protect from water spots on the glass

I suppose a pure caranuba wax would be more prone to being chaffed by the wiper blade than synthetic waxes.

I waxed my windshield once. Only once. Soon after I got a job where I had to drive to work at sunrise in the summer. On the cool wet NC mornings the waxed windshields were nearly opaque. I could barely see until it had warmed up.

I just rainx the windows, and must say I'm disappointed. I spray a thin coat and wiped it, then let it haze and reapply another coat. Wipe it clean. I took it for a night drive and all I could see are streaks and on top of top, my rear window is fog up. I don't know what I doin wrong, but at least I got the bottle for free.

This may be a silly question, but did you do the inside of the rear window also? it will only work if it is applied to the surface that is fogging.

With the winshield, you used too much; it only takes a LITTLE bit. read the instructions.

To fix your windshield, get a soft rag and buff out the cloudiness... it takes a bit, but it should polish right up. I hope you cleaned all the windows first!
