FYI, detailers probably wont be able to fix the chips, key marks, and scratches on the parts you dont plan to fix. Just wanted to clarify this because detailing is only cleaning the car really well with the addition of paint cosmetics. I only know of 2 detailers near me (diamond bar, CA) and niether does any paint repairs (for chips and scratches and so forth).
so if you really want to get rid of them, the easier option might be to just have it repainted... im not sure what a detailing shop would charge you IF they even do that kind of work in the first place. a detailing place would probably use the common wet sanding method and not repainting the whole thing.
If you are looking for a reputable paint shop, do a search in the general or 5th gen forum becasuse its been brought up many many times in the past.
the shops that i know of that seem to be alright with a decent price are PJ's and Premier (city of industry and La habra respectively) but have yet to see their work with my own eyes.
