what do you guys use to clean up your engine bay?
I would like to use a solution that will polish my aluminum intake manifold and my exhaust manifold. Any tips will help as well.
haha I love that article! its the best how to ever .. the pictures do all the talking ... that photo of him spraying is the best.
gotta do that for sure .. I got inside my engine bay (engine removed) with a sponge .. didnt do near that well but .. i didtn want to spout water all over my friends garage
Two questions: Since our preludes have computers and other important sensors in the bay.. besides the Dist. Cap being on tight... is there anything else I should tape up or block with a shop rag from the cleaner stuff?
Spraying the hose... I assume a light sprits just to wet the surface area...not a 2 minute soak, right? Can you just manually do this with a wet towel or two instead?
That looks soo good after!

I would recommend removing the battery terminal, removing the spark plugs and covering up the holes, and cover the alternator. With the hose, it really depends on how bad your engine is in the first place I think. I took the plunge and blasted the engine on full strength, and I didn't damage anything. Just use common sense and try not to concentrate on the electrical connections for too long.
