Cleaning engine bay with Simple Green

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you have used Simple Green to clean your engine bay? You are going to think I'm crazy but the reason I am asking is for the smell. With my previous car, when I had brought it to the Honda dealership for an engine cleaning, when I got the car back and I opened the hood it smelled really nice, almost like the Turtle Wax car soap.

So basically, my crazy question is, what does simple green smell like?

Thanks.

I've done it with Simple Green. It smells like detergent at first but by the time you're done it doesn't smell like anything anymore.

Simple green works well; when I was in the navy, we used it to wash the helos and hangar floor. I wouldn't be surprized if it was used as an engine degreaser.

After a power steering fluid mishap...I sprayed my entire engine bay and inside of my hood with Simple Green. Used a hose attached to my water heater to flush it clean. Worked fvkn great!
