Cleaning 5th gen dash without a greasy, messy, shine.
What do yall fifth genners use to clean/dust/protect your dash? The upper part of a 5th gens dash is made of that damn material that looks horrible with a shine. I think its supposed to be kept regular (dull)
I tried using the armorall cleaning wipes (which you are supposed to use before you apply the armorall protectant wipes or the shiney ones) but they leave horrible streaks
I just want a clean, protected dash without the shine or the streaks!
i used to use mother's preserves. can't find anywhere local now. last few times i used the reg. armor all. apply it, let it set for a min. then wipe off with dry towel. doesn't streak and not real shiney.
I use the Meguairs vinyl protectant without any greasy mess.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. Life is about learning how to dance in the rain
Don't use those wipes to clean the dash, just use a damp terry cloth. Give the dash a little time to dry after wiping it down then use something good like Meguiars #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner & Protectant or 303 Aerospace Protectant.
on the topic of dashes, mine started to creak after I used black magic wipes.. I used them 2 times on the dash .. was told that using the armor all or any type products in the sun will do this to the car and dry out the vinyl.
What products will clean/replenish and keep it NEW and moist ??

same here, little red bottle with the pump-spray. I spray it on a towel and wipe on to the dash. you can apply as little or as much as you want and it never looks bad at all. I use it on the dash, doors, and wheel.
