caring for a carbon fiber hood

what should be done to keep teh carbon fiber hood looking shiny and flawless?

should i wax it first thing, or is it waxed enough for now when it gets delivered?

what products should not be used on it?

etc......

If it has a clearcoat, which it probably does I'm guessing, treat it like the rest of your car. A way to tell is to take a polish and work in a small section of the hood. If there's a transfer of color onto your cloth or towel, then it doesn't have a clearcoat. Regardless, once it arrives a wash, polish and wax will be fine.

If you're carbon fiber hood doesn't have a clearcoat, then the best way to find out how you should care for it is to contact the manufacturer. It'll be more prone to oxidation and discoloring, but a pollish would fix that as well.

It might just have a gel coat and not a regular clear coat
