Can you claybar too much?

Hey,
I'm gettin' ready to claybar my newish car today and after washing it real thoroughly, it feels waaay smooth, like the previous owner already did that. Or maybe he just waxed it. I don't know if I'll be able to get it much better. But I've been looking forward to this little project.
So my question is, if it was already done kind of recently, would it hurt to do it again? It seems like the kind of thing that might take down the clearcoat and you don't want to do it too often.
Wanna know before it gets dark today in California!

-Dan

I wouldn't worry about it. I claybar my car based on the grittiness of the surface, and when it gets bad (every couple of months) that's when I claybar. Some people may go longer if they garage their car every night, but I don't have that luxury anymore .
