can this be waxed out? (pics)

i'm thinking i just need a new paint job but curious if there's a way to get rid of these white spots. '97 prelude

From what I can see, that can't be waxed out. Buffing it may improve it, but to be honest, I would just get a new paint job.

LOL..i think you definitely need a paintjob to fix that..looks like all the clearcoat and paint have eaten away

thats your clear coat peeling away.
I went to the auto parts store and bought some compound made by 3M called finesse it and used a buffer to take the clear off. Which made it look a thousand times better.
Make sure you use some nano wax like mequiars nxt after you buff off the clear coat and keep reapplying it frequently till you can afford a new paint job

Wax is for protection. It has no correcting properties. Putting wax over that will do nothing. You'll need new paint for both panels. The fender is completely peeling. The roof is oxidized probably beyond repair of any polish or compound.

Most cheaper waxes are actually "cleaner" waxes and contain abrasive polish. The premium waxes are a pure wax though.

Your right though, this needs more than a bit of elbow grease.

lol yeah that's what i thought. Just wondering if some technologically advanced wax had been created yet! i work at a honda dealership so i'll see what kinda discount i can get on a paint job
