it will take the wax off your car if you let it bake in.

Take bird **** seriously. I would get it off asap w/ a blast of water or something.. just so it isn't bakin' in.

get bird crap off as soon as possible

take damp paper towel and put it over the dried crap until its all mushy so it doesn't scratch paint and seroiusly lightly pick it off.....dont wipe.....i did and it left a huge dull spot on the hood and scratched and paint doesnt shine there nemore

If the bird **** is on your hood, get it off ASAP...the heat from your engine will "cook" it and stain the paint permanently. People with white Ludes have reported this in the past.

I carry a bottle of Meguiar's Quick Detailer and a roll of paper towels in the trunk Great for dirt and poop removal

Dude you've gotta take this bird sh!t seriously, specially for our Preludes which don't have very good initial paint quality. Long ago I once left some sh!t on the roof unattended for about a week and when I finally got to remove it the acid had already etched into the paint and created ugly wrinkles on the surface. I thought I needed a new paint job but fortunately my Zymol HD Cleanse helped restore the damaged paint back to about 80% perfect (I could still see some marks but the wrinkles were almost gone).

Ever since then, as soon as I spot any sh!t like that on the car I immediately remove it using a folded tissue paper soaked with HOT water (the hot water thing is to dissolve the sh!t so I won't scratch the paint when I wipe it). Wipe it off very GENTLY man!

The uric acid contained in the bird poop will eat away at your clear coat etc.. Always carry a bottle of water, towels, and or detailer with you in the trunk in case of situtations like this. Wipe it off ASAP, or pay the consequences in the long run.
