100% Terry Cloth vs. Microfiber

Please dont yell at me, I did search...but for both applying and removing paint cleaner, polish, and wax (essentially the Meguiars 3 step) which is better? Or is one or the other better for a certain aspect and the other better for some other aspect. Also, how bout terry applicators or foam applicators....basically which product is the best for applying each of the 3 steps, and which is the best for removing them (please dont say porter cable, or oribital, I am broke!! This will be done by hand)

I find the best applicator is a foam applicator on my PC DA polisher. Should be ok by hand as well, jsut moving at a much slower pace.

As far as removal, i will have to laen toward the microfiber towels. They just seem to trap the dirt and such better.

I do it by hand too, it's gonna hurt but it's well worth it. I'd definitely go with foam applicators and microfibers. You can never go wrong with microfibers for anything....I use them on anything and everything. Just make sure you have a few on hand.

Oh, Ive done this before and it does hurt!!! Took like 10 hrs...wash, claybar, wash, polish, wax, and lots of other misc. crap....and I have about 20 microfibers...I love them, I was just wondering if there was something better, cause it seems like the last time I used microfibers to remove polish and wax, it didnt come off very well

Haha...my arm felt like it dislocated for a week after 9 hours You may have to use a couple of microfibers, one for each section to remove the polish and wax. Since it'll hurt towards the end and your buffing pressure may not be as good as when you first started out, re-buff the next day. And don't lay it on too thick or you'll feel like it's not coming off, like there's always some left behind.

Terry towel to polish, foam applicator to apply wax, and microfiber towels to take off everything.

This is exactly how I do it too.

I always have lint problems with my terry towels, so I use microfiber on the interior also.

I use foam applicators to apply the different products, and microfiber towels to remove them as well as to remove the claybar lube.
