Timing Belt

Did some searching, but could not find anything about it.

Timing belt went 30K miles early, and 4yrs.. Think it was a bad belt. But anyway, I don't think I have any bent valves, the car runs fine at 50~90mph

But at an idle under a load, ie in gear (reverse or D) it flutters a little.
I am going to change the sparkplugs later - do you think I might have been off a tooth when replacing the belt?
Thanks for any info~
John

Well's,IMO,why not take the valve cover off, pull one of the spark plugs off and turn the crankshaft several times like 5-6 complete 360's by attaching a socket and breaker bar on the crankshaft bolt. That should give you a good indication if you have bent valves or anything else.BTW you have a SOHC or DOHC?

Ya the car has bent exhaust valves in Cylinder 1 - all the rest are fine, Not pulling the head, just running it like that till it dies or I get the other lude I just picked up on the road.
