thinking of getting a 89 prelude 2.0si

I'm thinking of getting a 89 honda prelude 2.0si. it looks to be in good condition and the interior looks pretty clean. I'm going to look at it tomorrow. its supposed to run good except that the tranny is slow from drive to reverse but good from park to reverse. all the other gears work fine. do you think that is or will be a serious issue? i don't want to put alot if anything into it. just want a reliable car.

Ask the seller if you could take it to a mechanic and get it checked out.

do preludes have a delay in shifting from D to R to protect against shifting into R from D too quickly?
