just cut your stock shifter down, and then install an aftermarket shifter knob.

That's what I did though I'd be interested if there is a real short shifter that would work.

i've heard that the 3rd gens has a shift setup like no other honda. there is a guy on hp.com that has made one, he said he was going to make a write up of how he did it. it would be nice, but he also said this a while back. if you study it, there is a way. i dont remember howto explain it...cutting it was much easier

cutting it dosn't make the throw itself shorter though, just looks cool, I myself like it the length it is, This summer I may take a look at it to see if there is any rigging I can do to make it throw shorter.

Actually, cutting does make the throw shorter...just not in the same sense as the traditional short shifter. It's kind of hard to explain it though. I put a post about this on hp.com one time that explained it somewhat. It's been a while now though.

Here's a lesson boys and girls

Cuting the shifter shortens the shift length but not by much. This is how everything works out if you cant visualize it.

hey, not this again, thank god for JohnnyRC36 pic. we can link back to this thread next time it comes up. cutting it makes it a stiffer shift tho, i just put a larger shift knob on mine and the shift is sooooooo much smoother, from just a few cm's

edit: i didnt put the f in shift.
