What's going on guys,
My cousin owns a '91 Prelude Si with ABS and his lower ball joints went bad so I helped him replace them. Firstly, you have to remove the steering knuckle before replacing the ball joints so take note of that step. I may post another DIY regarding that procedure if someone requests it
Here is the procedure for replacing the lower ball joints on a '91 Prelude Si:
Note: You'll need a Ball joint removal/installation tool No. 07965-SB00100 and Ball joint removal base tool 07965-SB00300 for this procedure. Additionally, a Boot clip guide tool No. 07974-SA50700 or 07GAG-SD40700 and a large vice is recommended.
1) Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2) Remove the knuckle/hub assembly with the joint attached. Pry the snapring off and remove the boot.
3) Pry the snapring out of the groove in the ball joint.
4) Using the ball joint removal tool with the large end facing out, tighten the ball joint nut.
5) Position the removal base tool on the ball joint and set the assembly in a large vise. Press the ball joint out of the steering knuckle.

**Special tools are needed to remove the ball joint in the knuckle assembly**

**Special tools are also required to install the ball joint in the knuckle assembly**
-Installation-
1) Position the new ball joint into the hole of the steering knuckle.
2) Install the ball joint installer tool with the small end facing out.
3) Position the installation base tool on the ball joint and set the assembly in a large vise. Press the ball joint into the steering knuckle.
4) Seat the snapring in the groove of the ball joint.
5) Adjust the boot clip guide tool with the adjusting bolt until the end of the tool aligns with the groove on the boot. Slide the clip over the tool and into position.
6) Install the knuckle and hub assembly.
7) Connect the negative battery cable.
