Well, I need to get an intake for my ride BAD! So, what's it gonna be? Weapon-R, which I've heard sucks. But what sucks so bad about it? It's a short-ram, right? Or should I get an intake for a Civic? I don't want to relocate my battery, because truth be told, I don't know how. If I do that, can I get an AEM CAI made for the civic? That would be sweet.

With all of the threads lately regarding intakes in general, I'm sure you could scrounge up enough feedback to make a decision. I am going to try jdmSiT's style, but there are other people that stand by the ludespeed intake as well as a 92-95 civic intake.
if you get the weapon R put a different filter on it. the foam filter that comes with it comes apart and gets sucked into the engine which obviously isn't good
lude4ws, if I would use the search option to find instructions on how to relocate the battery, what would I need to type in? Also, how much does an intake for the ITR run for? What about the Ludespeed intake? Oh, is "fresh air" the same as "cold air?"
Darkside, what kind of "different filter" are you suggesting? Like K&N or what?

im sure one of the guys in here know how to relocate the battery. from what i hear its not that hard of a task. just try typing in battery relocation or something. if u were to buy and intake from an ITR u r lookin at about 230 for it. i dont remember how much ludespeeds intake is though..lemme check it out. fresh air isnt necessarily cold air. it just gets colder air than u would get from inside the motor compartment.
no..its not a short ram kit... go to ludespeed.com and look at it. it runs down into ur fender. the filter sits just above the splash guard in the front. u will have to relocate the battery for it
Oh, okay, I'll probably go w/ that intake. It looks like a good deal. I'll find out how to relocate my battery, then it'll be all good! Oh, has anyone heard anything about the Ludespeed FAI? Any good?

ALL in all, the ludespeed, "mine" and others like it do the same old sheet. I have certain circumstances when i got min. It was used and i got it for a $100. I always wanted an intake for the 3rd gen instead of the floppy donkey dick. I have had no trouble with the intake since i put it in. i recently put a homemade heat sheild on the filter so the heat from the exhaust mainfold and other crap won't be sucked in the filter. Worlks great too! I might take som pics of it here soon and post. What do u guys think>? sou wanna see it?
4ws, yes, it's my car. I also have another 3g, it's completely stock, w/o a spoiler. All I have done to it so far is lower it, put some rims on it, and added exhaust.
Pete, so what kind of intake do you have? Is it the weapon-r or what? Yes, I'd like to see some pics.

Hey, where did you get the intake? How did you relocate the battery. Did you run the ground wires under the car, or how did you do it? How much did the intake cost? To relo. the battery, did it cost anything? Does it sound good (the intake), sorry for all the questions, but I need an intake SOON, and I think this is the one I want. Thanks pete.

i got mine from a local performance shop here in INdy. the guy has an Integra Type-R and was putting a vortec supercharger on it. So his AEM didn't mattter anymore. I pulled my car in the back and put it into view on my car. It looked like a good fit for the most part. He sold it to me for $100 and i went home and installed it in like 20 min. The battery kit came from SUmmit racing and came with everything u need. ITs just like stereo wires, there go undernearth the carpet and floorboard. Not hard at all. it cost $46. the intake sounds great. not knew if u heard but u might have to relocate ur a/c lines. THat is no biggie. some people have done it without any problems. Hope that answers everything.
So, I can just go to a shop and order a CAI (AEM) for an Type R, and it'll fit fine into the car? Is this relo. kit made specifically for a 3g lude, or how does it work? Did you have to move your A/C lines? Where do you move them to?

well, u need to cut off part of the intake...its the last bend in the piping. not hard at all. the battery kit iss universal....comes with all nessisary stuff. i cut my lines since the a/c was not working anyway.....at worst u reconnect the lines with rubber hoses and get the system recharged...........everyone that has done it has loved it

Okay, that all makes sense to me, except the a/c line part. I don't understand it.
