No pressure in clutch

I have a 3rd gen. prelude s that i absolutely love... Due to it being 20yrs old I recently replaced the clutch with a clutch kit.. the fly wheel, pressure plate etc. When the tranny was re mounted it was left dry!!!! In 3 months the trans. locked up and wouldn't shift out of 4th gear. SO I got a new tranny and put it in, all is in working order except my clutch will not build pressure. I have bled it from the slave several times, and correctly by tightening the bleeder when the pedal is raised back to normal pos. however it will not build pressure. Please help... I love my lude!!!

If you are positive that the hydrolic system is working correctly, check the pedal and make sure it is aligned properly, the only thing that could be left after those items would be a warped pressure plate or disc. This happened to me before. I got a brand new ACT clutch (disk/pplate) and after I installed it I couldn't get any pressure (even on the floor). I had to take it out and send it back to ACT to get it replaced. Good Luck

and the way to do that,
have someone look at the slave cylinder as you press on the pedal.

-doesnt go in and out (adequately)
hydraulic system
-goes in and out
mechanical(fork, pressureplate, etc..)

o and the way i build pressure is to pump it FAST! my new master cylinder has the same prob for some reason.
i happen to need a new clutch line which leaks so adding fluid works (bleeds clutch for me ) normally I pop the clutch pedal up with my hand until it starts to return. then i bleed some more and repeat (fluid comes out faster). Seems to work for me.

o and you tighten the bleeder when the pedal is at the bottom. then loosen it at the top ready for the next press.

whats the correct way to bleed it?

dont you press down on the clutch, open the bleeder valve, close the bleeder valve, pull the pedal up and then repeat?

OP sounds like he's saying the right way is to press down on the clutch, open the bleeder valve, pull up the clutch pedal, and then close the valve...

i'm confused???

No you open the bleeder first then with someone else in the car have them slowly push the pedal to the floor, when its all the way down close the bleeder, have them slowly let off the pedal, top off fluid and repeat. You could also attach a hose and suspend it in a bottle of brake fluid and pump til the bubbles stop with the bleeder full open, a brake bleeder kit from autozone works well for this.

But when you end the job, that is no air in the line, the pedal is to be brought up and THEN close the bleeder line?

or is the pedal to be down when you close the bleeder?

My technicque is just to use a clear line from the bleeder screw into the bottle that has a bit of fluid in it as it is. i just open the screw. and have some one push and pull up the pedal by hand making sure theres fluid in the reservoir.

Once I notice air isn't coming anymore, with the pedal in the up position, I close the bleeder screw and then remove the tube...

the whole time the tube being inserted into a bottle with fluid in it to begin with.

I tried using one of the vacuum bleeders that u pump by hand but for some reason i feel like that ends up adding more air than not. i dunno if the air is coming from the bleeder screw when you're pumping the thing by hand or what? dont know how to remedy that so I just got the girlfriend to pump the pedal for me, gave up on the stupid vacuum thing... ($30 for it down the drain)
