So on the way home from work I get a tail-lamp warning. I pull over and check it out and it's the control box on the taillights. Stopped at the scrapyard and got one but as soon as I installed it and tried the brakes this one burnt out too, you can actually see the burn on it (passenger side only). I checked around under the dash and found a burnt-looking wire coming from behind my fuse box, but I lose it in a mess of wires and can't trace it. It's a red/black wire with silver bands every inch or so, and comes out of a yellow connecter on the bottom in back of the fuse panel.
This is an '89 S (carbed) btw. I have as best a pic as I could get of the wire. Anyone know where the other end of this wire goes? I'd like to just splice in and replace the wire
(FYI: there are 3 other wires coming from this connecter, a black wire, green wire, and a larger white/red wire)
