does anyone have the case number that is stamped on the trans for a lsd trans for a 3rd gen prelude ?

The transmission id number for the 3rd gen lsd tranny is D2E4. But the limited slip portion is actually on the intermediate shaft, it's not in the diff. So if you are actually able to locate one of these uber rare transmssions, make sure you grab the int. shaft or you will be hosed.

This thread from another forum talks about this transmission, and shows with pictures how much of a difference there is in the int. shaft...

What do you mean? Part number? Lol, sorry. I can't help you with that. Maybe someone who has access to rare Honda part numbers can answer that. This transmission is extremely rare in the US, and is not in any of the parts databases I've seen.
