Looking for Rims for my Prelude.

I want to put some white 6 spoke rims on my car. 16s

I'm thinking of Rays Engineering, Volk Racking TE37 rims.

TE37

I'm not sure what the weight is on them, but that is style rims I want. Does anybody know of a lightweight rim that has a similar style and come in 16s? I haven't seen any others. The ones I have seen that have this style are usually silver or black with the occassional gold.

I'm really looking for lightweight, white, 16 inch 6 spoke rims.

I wish I could afford Volks. They're forged aluminum which is just about as light as you can get as long as you have some DEEP pockets. These are very nice but if I had my way I'd get some 18" gunmetal Racing Hart C5 wheels with the polished lip.

http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/racinghart.htm

http://www.creverything.com/wheels/zt-6-w.html -these are more your style and less than 1/3 the price of the volks

http://www.creverything.com/wheels/rs-5-w.html -these are nice, but they look better in gunmetal

http://www.tenzoracingsports.com/roadwheels/index.html -I love all the wheels this company makes!!

the graphite AV-7's this company makes look just like stock GT-R Vspec wheels

hope that helped

I know what you mean about the price on the Volks. That is a reason why I'm looking for something else that looks like them but finding white rims is a pain.

The RS-5 rims are nice, but they are 5 spoke.
The C5 rims are nice also, but again 5 spoke.

I saw a 3rd Gen with some grey 6 spokes once and loved the look. I just want white to match my car. I want my entire car white with black highlights when I get done with it.

Well Mathrin, have you looked into the Tantrum's? They're popular among the 3rd gen.'s, and they look NICE on them. They're six spoke and they come in 16in. size (various offsets). http://www.konigwheels.com/catalog_p...ryName=Tantrum

these are sweet. 17s though. Bah.

http://www.tenzoracingsports.com/roa...n-6/index.html

I may have to second think the 16s. I dont' really want to go over 16s for Solo II reason (you start to sacrifice some handling) but man these are nice.

Those were the 6 spokes I first saw Preyluder that I liked so much, but alas, no white. Just silver.

Are you sure they don't make them in white? I've seen white Tantrum's before. What kind of tire setup are you gonna use for SoloII? I suggest getting an extra Wheel/Tire combo, cuz you don't want R compounds for daily driving do you?

Man, I just got an email back from Tenzo-R. Those Mean-6 rims are 21.7 lbs apiece. I was hoping for under 20, but then again they are 17 rims.

I want to go 16s with 205/45R16. I'm not sure if I'll run R compound or not. I'll still have my stock rims and tires if I do want to run R compound, but these will likely be my daily driven rims as well. Maybe if I can find some good R compound wheels with a treadware rating closer to 140, then I may run R compound.

LOL. I may run stock class for a while. 3rd Gens fall into the H Stock class. Take a look as what we would be up against.

If I got the C-5's I'd get em gunmetal powder coated, it pretty affordable and looks just as good as the wheels that come gunmetal from the factory. You may want to look into buying some nice six spoke wheels in a style you like then get em powder coated white by a paint shop. That way you can get the exact shade you want and a waranty on the finish if the rims dont come with one already. Also, you can get em powder coated and then put any decals you want, e.g. eibach, skunk2, ground control, etc. and have em clearcoated on top of that. Everyone will want to know where you got eibach wheels!! hehe

hmm, I'd say the 3rd gen prelude outhandles all but three or so of those cars on the list, and out accelerates those three. The 3rd gen is known certainly as one of the best handling fwd cars of its time.

anyone got any ideas for some 16 inch race rims for a ebp prelude? 5th gen? Im thinkin of goin with the black rotas (spoon style) they're like 13 lbs... which isn't bad... i think they'd look good with a cf hood... what else would look nice for a 16? nothin flashy cuz i plan on gettin some 18's over the winter.

Check out the RPM style. Yes, it's 17"+ but these are damn nice. Forged and only 13.51lbs!

Nice. Only a half pound heavier then the TE37 16s. I wonder what the price is on those things. I may go looking for it later.
