If you think there are no rules in this forum, think again.

I have seen a few hate posts and been receiving hate email from members of this particular forum, most of them expressing their disgust/concerns about me locking or moving posts. First off all, I would like to remind you that even though the traffic in this forum is light and your moderator Daily Interlude hasn't been around much, the rules that we set for the General Discussion forum applies to this place as well. For those of you who are not familiar with the "rules", this is what we currently have:

"1. No more Attn: whoever threads. If you feel that the discussion would be beneficial to the entire community, then title the subject but these Attn: whoever's are going to stop.
We have Private messaging and we store Email addresses, ICQ #'s, AIM names etc - please directly contact those who you have questions for.

2. Post your question in the appropriate forum. If you want to know the speaker size in your 5th gen, post in Audio. If you're asking about the offset of wheels needed on your 4th gen SI, post in 4th gen forum. Which wastegate should I get will be better answered by readers of the Forced Induction forums etc. Start putting your threads about meets in the meet forum.

3. NO MORE Off Topic Threads.
If you're asking about color codes for an ITR or NSX because you're going to paint your prelude that color, try asking in a forum for these cars. This is not prelude specific.
We are prelude drivers, and 95% of us do not want to sift through threads asking about how to swap H22A's into a 96 Civic because we're not interested or we don't know the answers- Ask in a Hybrid forum.

4. No redundant Threads - if someone knows the answer to your question they'll post it if no one else has. Use a post to raise it back up after a day rather than posting the same subject a day later. Use the search function and the FAQ's before asking questions. The 'which intake is best for a 5th gen' and 'which lowering springs for a 4th gen' subjects have been gone over time and time again. The info is there if you're willing to look for it.

5. No Flaming, fighting, Smiley only, quote only posts or other useless stuff.
Use your discression - I will delete crap without warning, or edit a fight to make you look stupid. This site is free for you but someone is paying the bill - he's doing it to share knowledge, not to share your petty arguments.

This is all that currently comes to mind after looking over what we move/lock the most of.
I'm sure more will come to mind and I invite the other GD Mods/Admins to add to my rules to their liking.
If you have a problem with these you can email/IM/PM me or email admin@preludeonline.com
Thank you Prelude Online readers."

The reason why I locked/moved some of the posts over the weekend was that they violated one of more of these rules, not that we are "power hungry" or anything.

When the rules are violated, the thread would naturally get locked/moved/deleted, and in the cases when flaming was involved, the user would likely receive a warning from one of us. Any repeat offense would not be tolerated and the user would be banned without further notice. As an example, Polarwhitesi was banned for his comments after being issued a warning:

o0OO0o stay out.
i messed up my timing...

malken00 gave us the "power" to edit/delete/move posts and ban users because he relies on us moderators/po.com police/administrators to keep the BS on this board to a minimum. If you have any questions or concerns, please by all means contact us or malken00 directly. Posting useless threads in the forum would not be the correct approach.
