what spoiler would look good on a 3rd gen.! I need a spoiler BAD!! Do any of you have any companies or specific spoilers you'd recommend to a fellow luder. Peace.

IMO i think the stock spoilers look the best. im not a fan of the big spoilers that look like ur gonna fly away. other than that i like the thruster that wings west has. but i think the stock is the best. i think kaminari has a decent looking one also.
Yes, that is exactly the kind of wing I want to put on my car! There are many kind of companies that make that type of wing though. I've just got to decide which one I want.

I'm sorry, but those wings are straight up *** as hell. I mean they look alright on some cars, but I've got to say our preludes look about the worst out of most cars with one of those lame ass aluminum wings on. Ya wanna be made fun of? yea get it dude!
go to the erebuni site that's at the top of the page under the best web links. They have some good wings for our cars that look stock, not ricey as hell like those aluminum ones.

I agree, aluminum wings look retarded on 3rd gens, I thought about one at one time, until I actually saw pics of a few with them! The only decent ones for a 3rd gen IMO are the Wings West Thruster or a Wings West Touring Style wing. IF you mount the later far enough back on the trunk! I saw a 3rd gen that had one mounted so tha the back edge of the spoiler was 6" from the edge of the trunk lid! yuck.
i think the mugen wing for the 2nd gen integras look sick on our cars. wings west makes a replica of it. check it out. its like 350$ but its worth it if u got the money.
What I want is to see some pics of cars with those aluminum wings. I thought they would look cool, but then again I've never seen one on a 3g in person (or on the net). Hey Kyle H, could you give me a website for that Mugen replica? Peace ya'll, and thanks for the input.

I think that it wouls look to big on our stock kit. But maybe it would look good it is all up to you man it is your lude.
I do think that it matches cause our ludes are a little more angled then rounded so it would prolly match fairly well.

Yeah that is true you have to be going really fast to need all that downforce but if your looking for Downforce those ALuminum wings ar ethe ones to get the fiber glass ones look cool but hav eyou ever been going down the freeway and see those fiber wings shaking all ove rthe place that is not good.
For practical purposes the aluminum wing actually works good but sometimes they just don' tlook good on cars but our they look decent on.

I guess I was being somewhat of a smart ass. The only reason anyone would need a lightweight aluminum wing on an 88-91 Honda Prelude is:
1) Never. It is a front-wheel drive vehicle. The rear wheels just come along for the ride. It is not crutial that they remail planted. The weight of the car alone is enough to keep it grounded. If one is really looking for functionality from one of those F&F souveniers, mount it on your hood Of course once you start moving at around 150+ MPH, then maybe it would come in handy, but it is just a cosmetic thing till then. OK, after all that, all I have to say is if you like the way it looks and you want it on your car, then go for it. I just don't like it because I am frugal and am looking for bang from my buck.
Hey man any extra downforce is helpful and it is true that even the slightest lip on you trunk changes the air flow. Damn don't start knocking me I was just saying that between the 2 Fiber and Aluminum that Aluminum actually works better I was not saying that you NEED it. If your going for cosmetic purposes then by all means go for a FIber one they look really good and come in all different shapes and sizes. BUT like I said before YOU SEE them going down the freeway and they wiggle all over the place. I was not trying to make it a DAMN discussion on the Downforce properties. Man some of you take everything so DAMN literal. I agree also I really don't care for cosmetics till my car can actually perform.
Thanx again for knocking someone who was just pointg out the differences between the 2.

Calm down. I wasn't referring to you, so chill. I know where you are coming from. I read your post. But nowhere in mine did I call you out. If it makes you feel better, I'll reply to you're post.

No I haven't ever seen them wiggle.
I was merely venting my frustrations on the subject. For instance, there is no reason for a heavy FF 2K Cougar to have an aluminum wing other than he/she likes the way it looks. Changes in air flow nothing - the car is heavy, FF, and only at ridiculous speeds would the airflow be a factor in stability. Please understand that this is a forum, and while my post may foloow yours, it doesn't neccesarily mean that I am replying to you. So accept that as an apology if you were insulted by the timing of my post.
My bad man I thought you were calling me. I am sorry.
As for the Fiber ones. I see them sometimes going down the freeway and the center wing across the 2 pieces that hol dit ther eand it will be like flapping or should i say bouncing up and down. Like wiggling. SO I am like hmm that will prolly not help out.
And yeah stuff like a Del Sol or a cougar with a aluminum wing is just there for the looks even with our cars and all FF cars same thing all for looks. But I was just sayin gthat of the 2 aluminum does cause better downforce.
But still Useless.
Sorry again threegfourws.
