all of the coolant hoses on the back of the intake manifold, the hose from block to oil cooler and oil cooler to water pipe. check the hoses below the distributor and tdc sensor also. they are a pain to replace when the motor is all together. also do a water pump and new timing belt. inspect the tensioner for abnormal wobble or grinding and replace if necessary.i am assuming after you put the head back on you will also be doing a complete tune up. make sure to follow the manual when reinstalling the belt. always rotate the motor first by hand to be sure you have the belt right and to verify that there will not be piston / valve contact. oh and don't forget the thermostat and gasket.
