Front Brake Conversion

Has anyone upgraded to the larger 4th gen brakes? I've heard it can be done, but the hub register might need to be changed. Help me out?

you would need to swap hubs and of course rotors. they have 5 lugs dont they? i didnt think their brakes were that much larger are they? u should look at an NSX swap they use a dual piston caliper.

I really like the look of those brake calipers, must be nice stopping power...but 250 pounds for them? damn, that's like almost 400 bucks US...I suppose it's worth it

Well, check out that website on his how-to section. It'd probably be quite a bit for shipping from the UK, but I have yet to find other 4 piston universal calipers, so this might be our best bet.

Strange !
I was just about to post asking if anyone was interested in this.

So here goes.

You need the rotors and calipers from the 4g Vtec.
the rotors need to have the bells drilled to a 4x100mm PCD so that they fit on the hubs.
you need 3mm spacers behind the caliper mounts.

Bolt it all on, bleed 'em up and 'hey presto' !

And they are bloody impressive.
I'm running with old pads and rotors at the moment , so as to save cash in case anything didn't fit.
But they are a massive improvement on the originals.
Anything more than this is probably overkill as the tyres will let go first .

The most cost effective brake upgrade you'll ever do .
And it leaves the option to go with Legend calipers in the future.

It's a damn sight less hassle than almost all the other brake upgrades
4gdiscs are 282mm. And they'll fit under 15" wheels ...just !

Wow guys, first post from me and I have an awesome response team!! Its been a bit since the post, but I had to run out to NY for a graduation. So what would you guys suggest then, Those breaks from the UK are sweet i must say. Were those rotors larger than the stock 3g's? They look close to the same. Or try the 4g's out?
