check this out!!!!!!!

so i recently made a short ram intake off the stoke pipe but needed somthing for the water and heat so i came up with this idea all it took was an imagination and 7 bucks for paint theirs the before and after pics of the modifying of the box and installed

let me know what you think of the custom splash guard/heat sheild

Nice idea, although I'm not convinced you need it. Many 3rd genners (including me) have had their short ram filter located there, and I haven't heard of any issues with it. Your design may shield some engine bay heat away from the filter though.

The one issue I have with your design is that it can actually hold water if you have it bolted into the stock spot with all three bolts. You might want to add provisions to it to allow water to drain out.

well thats the thing i have it turned to where only 2 of the studs are going throught the holes theres one their for draining and i did it cause i live in bremerton washington and their a ton of rain here and i have been noticeing alot of mud splatter on the filter so i thought of this to kill 2 birds with one stone
