A/C Troubleshoot Challenge? Help?

Did some searches and got a lot of good info, but it seems no two A/C problems are alike in some cases. This weekend - Just purchased my 88 'lude was told A/C doesn't work and needed TLC by previous owner. Thought I would ask for feedback. I plan to take it to an A/C shop regardless, but I'd like to be a little more informed. Here's what I do know:
These issues may or may not be related.
1) A/C condenser fan kicks on and stays on all the time. Never shuts off. I have to remove the condenser fan relay just to shut it off.
2) auto store checked Condenser fan relay. It is good.
3) A/C Compressor kicks in and runs when A/C button is pressed.
4) A/C button light stay's green all the time.
5) A/C is not blowing cold air.
6) previous owner says the system was charged and not leaking
7) system had been converted to 134 sometime back.
8) (probably not related - but check engine light on - Code 7, Throttle Angle)
9) Have re-set computer, no change.

I would tend to think it just needs freon, but the previous owner says he tried that and it didn't fix it. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Ok. No takers on this one. A/C issues are a pain for sure. Turns out the condenser fan shuts off normally after 10-15 minutes. It doesn't stay on all the time as the previous owner said. So its operation is normal. A/C shop said the compressor is beginning to fail. Clutch is dragging causing the unit to overheat and dissapate the freon. New compressor and a few a/c maintenance changes - problem solved.
