Brokin Speedometer

i had to push start my Prelude today and when i popped the clutch the speedometer needle dropped pointing straight to the floor. Now it does not move why did it do this and how do i fix it?

i was in first gear witch was stupid of me. its a 90 lude.

Yeah, that's not good to use 1st gear. Second works best for that.

Does the odometer still work? If the odometer still works, then your problem is probably the speedometer itself. If neither one works, then it's probably the vss which is mounted to the transmission, below the throttle body and distributor.
