plus supercharging sucks go turbo, be a man about it, and if you think sc'ing is better go to http:\\www.preludepower.com and look in the 3rd gen forum and see how many people would rather have sc over turbo
ok lets think about this here, I have drag-raced, and my biggest issue is traction off the line and that's with LSD 215 wide tires and easing the clutch for half a second so as not to kill my 60 foor entirely and I still get ****ty traction, and every SC prelude and integra/civic that I have seen thier 60-foots only get worse either that or they go all out and do so much in traction modifications that by the time they are done they have invest about 1600 in high HP axles to deal with the off the line axle snapping torque, and then the solid traction bar along with a spool instead of a conventional differential/LSD. Whereas with a good turbo setup you can start to build boost as low as 1800-2k and by that time you are at a rolling start you're at a point where you have a good amount of traction and from there on it's nothing but hitting your shifts and keeping wheel spin down.
dont know what 3rd gens you have seen SCed with a B20a5 or b21 engine on them because there arnt any, hence the reason for the petition. H22's on the other hand(popular swap) do and are very nice 200 hp stock, which isnt to shabby on a car that weighs 2300, stock. Anyways, I havent seen a new turbo setup( this is including everything) that is "good" for less then 2800, anyways there is a point when traction isnt holdable, but it isnt tell the high tripple digits on 3rd gens, and I havent seen any thrid gen over 575 hp(this one is turbo'ed however at 50psi http://www.teaminterlude.com/setup.asp?ModelID=529).

hey that's great well when you post some times with your sc kit then make a post about it, in the meantime, me personally I am going to be the realist/in your face person. First off, it's not going to happen. Second, you are going to have to make your own kit or have someone do the fabricating for the bracket. Third, an H22 swap doesn't have the clearance for a SC. Trust me I have seen it personally and if you think the space for the 4th and 5th gens is anemic then you are going to **** yourself when you see how far back the h22 is tilted and the ever less clearance you have in there. Fourth, that prelude you are talking about has never ever put down numbers at the track it is purely an Internet Super-Hero display of gross horsepower that will never ever see the track, the hardest the owner has ever pushed it was when it was on the dyno and maybe a few sundays out of the month, so in other words it's only there to show-off, and in my opinion it gets the point across of grosse display of horsepower, but for me it means nothing. In the meantime I am sorry to say but Turbo is the way to go, besides if it is such a bad thing to do then why does every friggin team that does sport compact drag racing use turbo and not SC??????
i wonder how many of you realize exactly how old that petition is.
i signed it well over a year and a half ago. and my name is on there #2098.
also, even if these DID work...... half of he names on that list arent acceptable because they are only the first name, nick name, and initials.
before this gets out of hand... i'm going to lock it... a lot of 3rd gen OGs know this won't work.. i'm suprised we even got a CF hood being made by some company.....
i'm opening it at the request of reyke.... from a business perspective... the cost of R&D and to recoupe the cost to make a s/c is just too high for a comapny to want to pursue on a car that has been discontinued and a generation that just has not been popular in the aftermarket scene...
