I have a manual transmission 1990 2.0 S. I'm having trouble with the AC. When I turn on the AC, it may run and cool from anywhere from several minutes to 30 minutes. When it stops cooling, there is a red light indicator on the AC button that comes on. When I see this light, I know that the compressor has stop functioning. I just had the compressor, expansion valve, dryer replaced, but it's still behaving the same. Any ideas on what could be causing the problem?

Who did the work on you A/C system? Was it a shop? The most likely cause of the compressor to stop running is it's low on refrigerant. Is it R12 or have you converted to R134a? To be sure, you should have a tech hang a set of gauges on there. They can usually tell you what's wrong for a small fee.
