I've heard of them possibly being intermittent, but I don't have any experience with them. In the past couple weeks I've been noticing a problem with my car not starting well if it sits for a day or more. I'm suspecting a problem with the fpr as well.

As you stated, it's not normal to smell fuel at any time on a fuel injected engine. Definitely a fuel leak. Could be an injector o-ring, intake manifold gasket, or fuel line leak. It could even be that the fpr is leaking fuel externally.

ok this is what has happened today, I replaced fuel injector o rings, that has gotten rid of the gas smell when car won't start, was hoping o rings where the fix, but nay, no luck there.

what i did after it wouldn't start (shooting from the hip at this point) I opened gas cap and let vacuum out, it did hiss, car still wouldn't start. because of wot problems, I disconected tps sensor, and tried to start, motor kind of poped, like it was trying to start. I saw wires where kind of twisted from connector down and untwisted them so they where straight. plugged tps back in and car fired up, this is the fastest car has ever started. So maybe it is a coincedence IDK.

I than had cel code 6 which is coolant temp, so I am going to take care of that, to rule out cel code making this happen (which I know would be rare, and strange too).

Like you said You thought there were sepeerate probs on the car. I hopeI amgetting closer. I havent ruled out getting original intake for it yet. I thinik I need to get cel codes cleared first. Cheers Bill
