You have to remove the door panel in order to replace the door speakers. It's not real difficult, but be carefull of the clips that secure the top trim piece. The plastic is usually pretty brittle, and the clips break easily. It helps a lot if the window is all the way down.

Here's a link to the online manual showing how to remove the door panel to access the speakers...

Yeah, I know what you mean. We had single digit temperatures a couple weeks ago, and now that it's actually getting above freezing I've been able to do some work on my car. Hang in there, it'll get warmer eventually.

It's actually pretty awesome. It helps with understeer when you are at speed, and I'm able to parallel park the thing with ease. It feels a little strange at first, but you get used to it real quick. It's funny watching people's faces when they ride with me for the first time because it feels like the rear end is broken...lol.

My first 3rd gen (89 S) didn't have 4ws. I found an 88 4ws in one of my local junkyards, pulled all the required parts, and installed the system onto that car. I sold it to a friend and he loves it too. Now there's no going back to 2ws for me, at least in a 3rd gen prelude.
