Some have said they are loud. I have an Apexi WS and I have to say it is very quiet, almost too quiet. I just got it a month ago so it is still breaking in but when I first put it on it sounded like stock at low RPMs and then had a nice growl at WOT, but subdued. Now it's slightly louder but it is still super quiet. If you are just cruising around at under 3500rpm or so, you don't hear it. After that it opens up.

Because it is, I've heard it. Nice growl though at WOT. Too bad you can't get them new anymore. And lets face it, how much better can one catback be over another, 1-2 hp maybe. It's just become this big myth because you can no longer get them.

I would have to say that the Apexi WS/RS and the RS*R are the quietest I have heard. You have pretty much a 0% chance of finding an RS*R. So if you are looking for quiet then go with the WS/RS.

My Tanabe GPM is fairly quiet for an aftermarket exhaust, pretty good round town and at cruising speeds (80 -90 mph) it's certainly not an unbearable drone.

I'm happy with it!

Whoever told you this is deaf.

I agree with Tyler. Go with an Apex WS. I was going to get one, but then I miraculously found some new RS*Rs that were left over and snapped one up. Like Tyler said...you pretty much can't find them. I'd been looking for a USED one for a good 6 months, and found a total of 1.

Contact JapAndy on E-bay. That guy can get anything. There are a bunch of people who have JDM hookups here, on PO, as well.

Ok, What's the difference between the Apexi RS and WS?

Preludeparts.com only has the WS, and it's only $400

They are the same exhaust. The older ones are called the RS. Then Apexi changed all their RS stuff and renamed them the WS series. So yeah... exact same exhaust.
