Yet another 4g emissions thread

Sorry, but I looked through about 7 pages of search results and couldnt find my exact answer.

Anyways, my car got rejected last month for emissions, I was too high on the CO level (i got 28, limit is 20). I bought some CRC pass emissions fuel additive, but I'm wondering if that stuff would really work (if noone has any experience, well then I guess I'm a guinea pig).

Are there any other quick fixes perhaps something along the line of timing? I remember reading something about that in one of Charlie's old threads, and Marcucci had a lot to say, but it was Hc related, and I failed on the Co.

Thanks in advance - mattsy

What i did to get my crx to pass and have heard of other people doing it it get a bottle about half full of hydrogen peroxide, put a brand new spounge in there (so it doesn't splash around). Cut a hole in the top of the bottle so a vacume hose can fit in there, you just need it at the top because all you need is the vapors. Then T it into one of your vacume lines and it will drop you HC and OC a lot. I say use a brand new spounge because i used one that had paint thinner on it and i didn't know it and it shot up my results A LOT.

whoah... i want a second opinion on that

and did you take the bottle out when you went in? certainly a question or two would be raised if there were some vacuum lines in a bottle of hydrogen peroxide

I tried that stuff in my gas, It didnt make a noticable difference. I also smogged with no air filter, i didnt want any of my air flow restricted.

ALot of people have been posting about this. if you search and look at some of my old posts i had some info. Im just tired of answering about it.
