YESS FINALLY! JDM 94-96 console!!!

the UPS man dropped off a package for me yesterday, inside was my 94-96 parking brake assembly which I have been waiting on for nearly 6 months.

I was afraid that this swap was going to be fairly tough, but looking at the new P-brake assembly and the old one, all I needed was some high tension wire from home depot and some clamps
****JDM**** 94-96 center console which I've had sitting in my room for like 8 months

Old console

random cool pic of the old setup

I kinda want to swap over my blingin CF P-brake handle, but I dont want to hack up the original on my new one, is it possible to take it off without destroying it?

Still waiting on a couple screws so I can swap these things over, I'll upload the completed pics later today

congrats, i remember you telling me how long you'd been waiting to do this. Take some pics of the install and you'll be a hero. Also, welcome to the cup holder club, you now have a place to store your beverage.

I just picked a 94 console up at the junkyard, but I didn't take the e-brake assembly. By the time I realized I would probably need it, the assembly was gone It was a day where you could pay 50 bucks and take anything from the honda cars they had.

So, ummm, isn't the opening in the console for the Ebrake handle on the wrong side?

I've had a 94-96 ebrake assembly chilling under my bed for like 6 monts now. Got it off Ebay for like $5 and figured someone would want it.

Because its JDM y0! thats part of the reason why I'm so excited about it, I dont think anyone's ever done this before...

very nice Craig, Jones has a place to sit now We're getting the Michigan club rolling, I'll pm you the few details we have so far. Also, if you want to fix that little warp in your shifter console, let me know, I can get the bulletin clips and one day us 4th genners can all get together and fix that b!tch.

Come on though man, even though it is JDM, the position of the ebrake is even more retarded now than the regular 94-96. Regular it digs into your leg, and now you just can hardly reach it AND it digs into passengers legs.

If you have a female passenger...then I wouldn't mind having the e-brake on the passenger side .

Looking great man

actually its perfect, no joke. I can rest my hand on it comfortable while cruising. and its not a reach at all when I pull it.

Bertico: OMG dude I cant thank you enough! I dont know how I ever drove without this thing...I love it so much!! I'm gonna leave the Mirror control unplugged because I already have that control on my door and I cant really get rid of it. I'm hoping to find a blank piece to replace the one in the console. I tried to hook up the hazard switch but it doesnt work :dunno: I took it apart and cant see anything wrong with it..

I thought some people complained about the e-brake bumping their legs when it was on the driver side of the car... the e-brake is definately way outta the way and should be easy to grab ..

and a beverage holder!! *drool* ..

You '93 ludes got jacked. . even though my long console splits my back seats I still have an armrest and storage... but no beverage holder.. !*#%*!

Nice work

Glad to help bud if you ever want to transfer the mirror controller to the center console you'd just have to get a 94-96 driver door panel and extend the harness over, also if you need help figuring out the wiring for the hazards lemme know.

^^ Hmm that might be tough, I'm pretty sure it will be different for a USDM, the panel where it mounts isnt symmetrical so it would probably be different.

All we did was drill a hole through the entire floorboard and secure it with a nut on the underside of the car (had to loosten the exhaust heat shield so we could get in there. We could only do this for the rear bolt, the front one we had to cut a larger hole in the top layer of metal, then slip a bolt in. there was a support brace or something in the way, so we couldnt drill all the way through the floor.

whew, I wonder if that makes any sense?
