?? Which year h22's are obd-1??

I bought a h22 to put in my 1995 prelude Si, And I was wondering if possibly this motor could be obd-2? On the block it says h22a from '96.... If it was obd-2 would it even be able to run with obd-1? Any help will be greatly appreciated....

IIRC a head is a head. the differences like in where the crank angle sensor is which has to do with distributers.

Want to know if its obd2..does your exhaust have 2 oxygen sensors?

I recently purchased an H22A for my lude as well. Before that, in my internet travels and research I was told that all H22As are all obd1. Otherwise there would be a separate number designation. Keep in mind that the Japanese market is less concerned about emissions compared to what's being done these days. Hopefully someone can confirm, or correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: It is true that in the States all cars sold from 96 and on have to be obd2. But that's just here, and I couldn't speak for other country's regulations. So that means even though the 5th gens fall into the obd2 category, there are still obd2 4th gen Preludes... you guessed it, all from 1996.

FINAL EDIT:

Damn, yeild! Your signature photo has convinced me to loose my spoiler. Much more sleek on the black ludes.

just wondering, because when it was all back together the engine ran pretty funky... I thought that it was possibly obd-2... Are there any distinct characteristics to tell obd1 and obd2 apart?
