Xenon Headlamp Blew....

well, almost. I noticed that one of my headlights was out and i took the bulb out, looked at it, didnt see anything, so i felt it, then looked at it closer.....the glass is actually buldged out where the thing blew. I am guessing that the bulb almost literally blew up inside my headlamp thing. I bought them from ebay (no flame please!) and like them. they said that they wouold replace them for free if they ever blew. i know i need to email them, but how do i ensure that i get my warranty? as in get another bulb cause there's sooo many people that buy these things...

is it one of those hyperwhite ones?

those suck... they usually don't last more than a few months

take the 9006 bulb out and match the 9005 to it. The base that holds the bulb in is different. Then use the 9006 rubber rings around the 9005 and plug it back in. Light is brighter too since it doesn't have that little painted cover over the end.

I have 9006 in my low beams and my beam pattern is all ****ed up at the sides... stay w/ 9005 is my advice...

but yeah, if you hold em up side by side theres a lil notch in the bottom middle of hte 9006 .. say this is the plug

shave it down and it'll fit because the 9005 (lowbeam) doesnt have it.

That looks like an ass.

I ran 9006 in my low beams for almost two years and never once had a problem. The beam patterns were great and much better at night.

hmm ... maybe its time to adjust my headlights then ... they're kinda centered and pointed down, even worse after I lowered my car but I got a helms and finally it shows how to adjust them..

Maybe I should take a pic of my beam pattern .. They're PIAA bulbs too, super white..
