wtff werid ass problem

i started my car and in 1st gear starting going hit about4k rpm and went to shift to second when my rpms shot up to 8k in nuetral (my gas pedal was locked down) so i turned the car off quickly .. got out popped the hood and i saw the throttle cable (whatever its called) stuck all the way down, so i tired to get it back to normal by depressing it all the way down then back up and i wouldn't but i did after 4 tries, ( so it looked like something was stuck inside the throttle body) well anyway i got it to normal and then it was ok(my pedal was released) .. so i start driving again but every time in 1st gear around 4k rpm to about 6k rpm it makes a sputtering type of noise like cant get the power out or something, and then i shift to second and its ok till about 4k rpm again sputters a little then in 3rd, 4th, and 5th, its ok.. I also took it on the highway in 3rd and the vtec still kicks in, didn't try vtec in 2nd, but in 3rd, 4th, and 5th its fine..

sorry for long post but its detailed.. thanks guys a lot i need to get this straightened out.

(in fact i just got done reading some posts here, and i get this feeling it might be the o2 sensor, cuz i do get some cel on everyso often after i accelerate past 4k rpm but they are not stored and go away after i restart the car.) still listing for your guy's opinoins

Was inside the throttle body past the throttle plate dirty? You may want to start with a throttle body service and lube your cables. Check your motor mounts too. If that are bad, under the right situations, you could be flexing a cracked vacuum line open.

Just a couple ideas. Good luck!
